The staff and animal trainers were amazing and the bottomless boat show was incredible. The scientific name of the bat sea star is Patiria miniata. They glow a wonderful orange to pink colour and are particularly excellent to photograph at night. Some of them are even air-breathing surface dwellers like us. Hard corals are colonial animals, each small individual has its own living chamber and feeding tentacles, but digested food is shared throughout the colony by connecting tissues.
